The Rockies being on a mission from God. Seriously. Let me amend those picks (again).
Rockies over Phillies.
Cubs over D'backs.
Rockies over Cubs.
Rockies over Red Sox.
And then, they'll play Team Universe and win it with a five run rally in the bottom of the 20th inning. In all seriousness, I think they'll only get as far as the NLCS; I still like the Cubs to do something special this postseason. But that game was something spectacular.
(On another note... I like Trevor Hoffman and all, but the guy has blown some really high-profile saves. First ballot Hall of Fame perhaps in jeopardy? Maybe that's just crazy talk, but I dunno.)

and about the trevor hoffman thing
I think there is something very odd about the whole hoffman legacy. For kids our age when we started getting into baseball we were sort of told Trevor hoffman was one of the greatest closers of all time. I never really saw it though. Once you heard the statistics you couldnt really deny it, and so you just kind of assumed he had to be great. I agree though that now more than ever, our generation has witnessed him completely implode at the worst times.
He's famously underrated yet he's supposed to be the best of all time? Who knows, he may just not be that good at all
